I am originally from Perrysburg, Ohio. My love and interest in nature motivated me to study botany at Miami University of Ohio. After graduation I moved to Flagstaff were I continued my studies, obtaining a secondary education certificate. Upon graduation, I taught middle school science in Tucson and Cottonwood. I returned to school earning a master’s degree in physical geography. During this time I taught lab classes at NAU, completed an internship for Grand Canyon National Park and worked on scientific research for the BLM. This is my fifth year at Mingus and I am exciting to share my knowledge and passion about science with all my students! When I am not in my classroom you may find me mountain biking, in the garden, or spending time with my husband and chihuahuas!
